When I was about 9 or 10, I had a beautiful vision of the Mother Mary above me. At first I was frightened by the apparition and didn't tell anyone what I had seen. Only now am I beginning to understand the true message I received then. For the last 12 years, I have been running my own Recruitment and Stress Councelling business. However, in 1995 I decided that I wanted to work with my hands. I enrolled on four courses (all at once) and successfully combined running my business whilst qualifying as a Spiritual Healer (Member of the Federation of Spiritual Healers), Aromatherapist, Reflexologist and more recently a Stress Councellor, training with Relate and the British School of Yoga.
Our vision has always been to provide a 'drop-in centre' for the community. This unique building will become a sensorial environment that would not normally be available to anyone unless they were living in a residential home. The idea of Hope House was born. I first met Sharman when my young son started her school in 1995, at the age of two and a half. Then some years later, after my training, I managed to persuade Sharman to come along to one of our meditation evenings and before long we were thinking about incorporating a multi-sensory environment in the School and working with the children. Sharman's artistic creativity was given a new life and she created what is now called 'The Pyramid' within the school. We progressed from there to produce a meditational CD, workshops, healing circle, working with sound energy with two specially purchased gongs.
Having recently tapped in to my own creative side, I am learning the piano - next the harp! I have also finished writing my first book; I hope to share with you one day. Working with Sharman has been a journey of endless discovery, she has a unique ability to tap into energy fields and intuitively make everyone feel happier and lighter. Her sense of humour knows no boundaries! The children have expressions of pure joy within her School and to watch their tiny faces was yet another inspiration for the poem innocence. I truely believe that she should create this 'School Atmosphere' on a grander scale, so many children would benefit and they are our future! I have some convincing to do yet.
Sharman Harral

Jesus appeared to me when I was 9 0r 10 and my 'wake up' call taught me to believe in miracles and know that they do happen. I feel loved and not 'alone' and know one day I will be 'collected' and re-united with the light and universal love.
I became an artist and attended Hornsey College of Art in 1969 studying Graphic Design.
Who would believe that in 1995 I would open the Phoenix School for children ages 2-7 years. I feel very privileged to work with children in a truely sensorial environment both inside and outside. The garden has become a rich source of sensory pleasure to adults and children alike. We now have three faultless academic Ofsted reports of which we are extremely proud.
My interest in 'The Stars of Hope' began some four years ago met and 'trusted' Suzanne sharing an exploring our spirituality. I have now successfully 'married' my 'spiritual philosophy' with high academic attainment, within the 'Phoenix School'. Integral to the 'heart' of the school is a temple ' pyramid' room within with children and adult explore sound, light, relaxation, meditation, visualisation and can experience stillness and piece; so much so nobody ever wants to leave at the end of a session.
Many new creative doors have opened for me as an individual - writing guided meditations, creative sound exploration with many new instruments especially our gongs. Working together with Suzanne has brought me real 'joy' watching her give 'love and healing' unconditionally to the members of the 'Stars of Hope' meditation group and directly to Alzheimer's and Dementia patients has led me to feel honoured to work with her.
Many children, parents and fellow professionals can now benefit from the 'workshop meditations' and special events we now offer
My last extension to the school is currently taking shape my 'Little Eden' indoor environment will be added to the school in summer 2003. This new space will be a home for many new fruits and exotic plants which will provide even more 'sensory' stimulation and 'wonder' for all of us to discover.
